Goat Combing Days
March 7 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm EST
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, repeating until March 28, 2020
Every Saturday in March, 10 am – 2 pm
Did you know that cashmere comes from goats? It’s hard to believe, but true! Only certain goats produce cashmere, however, and we have just the ones!
As sweater season comes to an end we will be harvesting cashmere from our goats and would love for you to join us! We do this every spring as their winter coat begins to shed.
We supply the goats and tools for the ultimate goat combing experience. Luckily, goat combing is not very high tech – we use dog brushes to comb out the cashmere!
Come to the farm any Saturday, 10am -2pm, in March to get up-close and personal with a goat and see why we make such a fuss about cashmere!
It’s FREE and fun for all ages! No registration required. Weather permitting; we can’t comb wet goats.
Questions? Call (423) 869-8927 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the safety of your animals and ours, please do not bring dogs to the farm.
